December 2021 update


Christmas Office Closure

Our offices will be closed from Thursday 23 December (13:00), and we will re-open on Wednesday 5 January 2022 (09:00). 

Furthermore, our offices will be closed on 16 December 2021, from 14:00 – 17:00. 

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued patience during the interruptions to card production this year. 


Candidate Searches

Can we remind Centres that we can answer up to three general enquires per call?

We can supply the following information:

  • Check if a Candidate is on the Street Works Qualifications Register.
  • Find out which qualifications a Candidate holds.
  • The validity of the four nations’ requirements.

If you have four or more enquiries, please submit your request using our enquiry form.

If a Centre submits a search request for more than 30 Candidates, we apply a fee to cover our costs.


Digital Applications

Applications are being rejected because they do not meet the photographic requirements, or the applications have been completed incorrectly; Dates of Birth, Awarding Organisation numbers etc.  

Please ensure that all photographs meet the requirements, and that data is accurate and complete, otherwise, applications will have to be resubmitted resulting in delays in cards being despatched.


Re-registration Cards (Northern Ireland & Wales)

Candidates applying for Re-registration cards are reminded that their cards are valid for 5 years, and they can apply to renew their cards anytime during that 5 years and up to 3 months after the card validity date.  If your card is no longer valid and has been invalid for more than 3 months you cannot renew it, you will need to undertake a completely new assessment.
